HP Z3100 and Z3200 (Z Series) printer repairs can be made by users who are willing to do their own repairs. Z Series printers are prone to a failing carriage belt and a power supply fan failure. In Lindquist’s repair notes, he has documented his experiences replacing the carriage belt and the power supply fan, as well as discussing cleaning and maintenance procedures, such as lubricating the carriage rail with genuine HP oil and cleaning the interior of the printers on a regular schedule.
